How to turn off the What You Missed recap email, change when it's sent, and choose which unread texts, chats, and Suite posts it includes.

Written by VipeCloud Support

The What You Missed email is a recap of the unread Texts, Chats, and Suite Posts you missed since your last recap. It's on for every user by default, and you can turn it off or change it on the System Emails page.

How Do I Turn Off the What You Missed Email?

  1. Click Home in the left sidebar.

  2. Click System Emails.

  3. Scroll to the What You Missed card.

  4. Click the toggle next to What You Missed to turn it off.

The change saves as soon as you click the toggle. To turn the recap back on, click the same toggle.

How to Change When the Recap Is Sent

The schedule settings are at the top of the What You Missed card on the System Emails page.

  1. Select Daily or Weekly from the Frequency dropdown.

  2. Select a time from the Send Time dropdown.

  3. To skip Saturday and Sunday on a daily recap, turn on Weekdays Only.

  4. For a weekly recap, select a day from the Day of Week dropdown.

Each change saves automatically. Weekdays Only appears only when Frequency is Daily, and Day of Week appears only when Frequency is Weekly.

How to Choose What the Recap Includes

The recap has three sections on the What You Missed card - Unread Texts, Unread Chats, and Unread Posts - and each has its own toggle and options.

  1. Turn the toggle next to Unread Texts, Unread Chats, or Unread Posts on or off.

  2. For each section that's on, select an option from the Display dropdown.

  3. Select how many items the section lists from the Max Items dropdown.

Display options:

  • Show Content - Lists each unread item in the email.

  • Show Count Only - Shows how many unread items there are, without the items themselves.

Max Items can be 3, 5, 7, or 10. Unread Texts needs texting set up on your account. Until it is, its toggle is off and a Requires Texting Setup link appears next to it.

Key Notes

  • Every user, including free users, gets the recap by default: daily at 9:00 AM in your time zone, with all three sections on.

  • Each recap covers activity since your previous recap, up to 14 days. Your first recap covers the last 14 days.

  • The send time is stored in UTC, so after a daylight saving time change the recap can arrive an hour earlier or later than the time you picked. Select the time again in Send Time to correct it.

  • The settings are per user. Turning the recap off changes only your own email.
