Email Settings Page Walkthrough

Email Settings: signature, office address, delivery, privacy policy, and advanced email settings.

Written by VipeCloud Support

The Email Settings page controls your email signature, office address, sending domain, privacy policy, tracking and alert behavior, mass email sending limits, unsubscribe behavior, and mass email footer. This article walks through every section on the page.

How to Access Email Settings

  1. Click Communication in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Email Settings.

The page opens with a Table of Contents at the top. Click any item in the Table of Contents to jump directly to that section instead of scrolling.

How to Update Your Email Signature

This section is inside Email Settings, under Email Signature, at the top of the page.

  • Edit your signature text and formatting in the signature editor.

  • Click the Insert Image icon in the toolbar to add an image.

This will load when you draft new emails and will be the signature that is inserted into email templates using this %SIGNATURE% merge tag.

Mass Email Office Address

This section is inside Email Settings, under Office Address.

The mass email footer pulls your office address info from here.

This is required per CAN-SPAM laws.

Configure Email Delivery and Routing

  • Domain authentication status - shows whether your sending domain has been authenticated to send as VipeCloud, which affects email deliverability.

  • From address for emails sent through VipeCloud - controls whether your emails are sent on behalf of your domain or VipeCloud's domain.

  • Email Deliverability Test - opens a tool to check your domain's deliverability configuration.

How to Add Your Privacy Policy

This section is inside Email Settings, under Privacy Policy. This field is admin only, and there is one privacy policy per account.

The mass email footer pulls your privacy policy URL from here.

How to Configure Email Tracking Settings

This section is inside Email Settings, under Advanced Email Settings, in Email Tracking Settings.

  • Email Open Tracking - records when a recipient opens an email you sent.

  • Email Link Click Tracking - records when a recipient clicks a link inside an email you sent. A recipient who inspects a tracked link before clicking may notice it is a redirect rather than a plain URL.

How to Configure Email Alert Settings

This section is inside Email Settings, under Advanced Email Settings, in Email Alert Settings.

  • Email Open Alerts - sends a notification each time an open is tracked, based on the option selected.

  • Click Alerts - sends a notification when a link is clicked, based on the option selected.

  • Scheduled Email Sent Alert - sends a notification confirming a scheduled email has gone out.

How to Configure Mass Email and Advanced Mass Email Settings

This section is inside Email Settings, under Advanced Email Settings, in Mass Email And Advanced Mass Email Settings.

  • Mass Email Default Type - Batch sends a mass email to all recipients at once. Advanced Mass Email sends at a rate of one email per minute per contact instead of all at once. Sending to multiple contact lists in a single mass email always sends as a Batch email, regardless of this setting.

  • Advanced Mass Email Daily Limit - caps the number of advanced mass emails the account sends per day. The default value is 0 (which means no limit set).

Tip: Advanced Mass Email Daily Limit is for AME users who send concurrent mass emails.

How to Configure Unsubscribe Settings

This section is inside Email Settings, under Unsubscribe Settings. It controls unsubscribe link behavior on mass emails, including whether contacts get a 1-click or 2-click unsubscribe, and whether they can unsubscribe from all communications or just the list they were on.

See Unsubscribe Link Settings for a full breakdown of these options.

How to Configure Your Mass Email Footer

This section is inside Email Settings, under Mass Email Footer.

  1. Edit the footer content in the Mass Email Footer field.

  2. Keep the merge tags for your unsubscribe link, privacy policy link, and address in place.

  3. Click Update.

See Unsubscribe Links for a full explanation of how the footer, office address, and privacy policy work together, and when the footer does and doesn't appear.

This is the footer that will be inserted automatically when sending mass emails and series.
