What Are Digital Business Cards
Digital Business Cards allow you to create a permanent link and QR code that points to an email template landing page.
Unlike standard landing pages, which generate a new URL when replaced or recreated, Digital Business Cards keep the same link and QR code even if you update or completely change the underlying template. This makes them ideal for long-term printed materials.

0:01 Hello, everybody. My name is Drew and today we're going to talk about digital business cards in ViCloud. And so, what if you could use a QR code on a business card or a card magnet that links to your digital business card and never have to worry about reprinting it even if you need to, uh, to change
0:24 your info or even change the entire template that it points to all together? Well, That's what we're going to talk about today because this is a feature that by support and so with our digital business card feature.
0:40 It allows you to create a single permanent link and QR code that you can point to, uh, different templates behind the scenes at anytime.
0:51 So, uh, I'm going to show you how you can go about setting that up because it's actually quite simple. So, um, now first of all, let's just talk about what a digital business card is, especially at what it is in ViCloud.
1:06 So, a digital business card is generally going to be kind of like, you what it says, except in addition to giving your information, you can also give links to different things as well.
1:19 So it can be really quite useful. It's full in that way. You can even have a video in it as a little introduction.
1:25 Um, and in it, in ViCloud, you, uh, you'll use our email template builder, which can be created into, like, a landing page that the template that you make.
1:40 And then that link to that landing page is, um, is your digital business card. So, you can, uh, you can create this quickly.
1:49 Now, I'm, I'm not I'm not going to go through too many details of our actual template builder. We have other resources for that.
1:56 But as a quick refresher, an orientation. Let's, let's go to communication in that left sidebar. And then under email, you can click on templates.
2:10 You'll then click on the create button to create the template. Give it a title, your internal reference title, subject line.
2:18 Make sure you enable the template landing page itself by clicking on click, uh, enable template landing page. And then click on the drag and drop HTML builder.
2:30 template. So that's just a little quick crash course on this. Again, we have more resources for the details of creating these.
2:40 Uh, landing pages. So where do you go to actually point your digital business card, um, link and QR code to the template?
2:52 Well, you click on the home button in your left navigation. In the menu that opens up, you'll see digital business card as an option.
3:03 There's going to be an activate digital business card slider. So you click on that. Now, when you are doing this for the first time, you're not going to see everything on your screen that is displaying right here.
3:17 It's going to be, so there's these two cards on the screen. You can get the share your digital business card and then the settings.
3:23 It's only going to be the settings, the first time you do this. And in these settings, you tell it which email template you want to be using for your digital business card.
3:35 And then you can also assign it to a merge tag. Um, all you need to do as a minimum is just in these settings, tell it which of your, uh, of your email templates is going to be, uh, your digital business card.
3:52 So that one that you just made, if you just made it, select that and you'll then get your link and QR code in that card up above.
4:04 Um, and again, just to reiterate, um, this link and this QR code does not change if you decide to use a, a different email, uh, template, uh, landing, landing page.
4:23 So, uh, that, again, this is really important because you can create physical assets. sets around this link and this QR code that will work even if you change your template.
4:40 Now, um, this merge tag right here, uh, not all users are going to, to need this, but if you want to have a single merge tag that you can put in your materials that you are sending through FightCloud, like your, uh, your text templates, your email templates, and you don't want to have to use this link
5:08 , but rather just a little quick merge tag. You can create a user merge tag and select it right here and then that merge tag will put in your, your, your card link, uh, in its place when it's sent out.
5:29 Now, uh, you can also click on this button right up here to preview your, uh, your landing page. Uh, so that's about it for the web app.
5:41 Um, really quickly just to, um, walk you through a couple of mobile features about this. Um, if you are using the our mobile app and you can control all of this in the mobile app and most importantly you can get quick access to your QR code which is really handy in person.
6:06 Like, if you're at a, at a sales event or at a conference or just in person with people you can get quick access to this QR code.
6:16 So, on the mobile app It'll be basically in the same place as is in the web app. The only difference is just, when you open it up you want to click on that like in the upper left corner there's going to be the the hamburger menu like the three lines that are horizontal you tap on that and then you tap
6:43 on home and then you'll see the digital business card right there and above the fold you'll be able to uh, quickly see your QR code.
6:58 Also, you can download it from there so it can just be in your gallery or something like that as well if you prefer.
7:08 So, I hope that this uh, helpful. Of course, let us know if you have any questions. Thanks so much.
