If you'd like to customize the preview text that displays in your recipient's inboxes, here we'll show you a trick for how to do this.
The preview text is what displays in the inbox after the email subject line and it's generally the first text to appear in the email itself. As an example, here's some preview text that we'd rather change since it's not engaging to readers:
An easy way to change this is to simply add a text box at the very top of the email with the text that we want to have users read after the subject line.
You can add text to the top and then match the text to the background color so that readers won't be able to see it (in most cases), and you can also make it a small font so that in the occasional cases where it is visible (like when people have dark mode on, which can do unpredictable things with colors), it's not very noticeable.
Here's what the email looks like now in the inbox:
Pro tip: if you copy your templates on an ongoing basis, don't forget to update your preview text. It's easy to miss since it's invisible by design.
