Filter View Sharing lets you give someone outside your account, or a teammate without a seat, a live view of your contacts or pipeline. Recipients open a link. No login and no user seat is required.
It works the same way for Contacts and for Opportunities and Pipelines.
How to Create an External Share Link
Go to Contacts or Opportunities and open the filter view you want to share.
Click the Share icon in the toolbar.
On the Manage Filter View Sharing page, click Create Share next to the filter view.
Enter a Title for the external view. This is what the recipient sees at the top of the page.
Under Share As, choose how the view displays. Contacts can be shared as a Board or a Table. Opportunities display as a Board.
Under External Fields To Display, add the standard or custom fields the recipient should see, then drag to reorder them.
Set a Sort Column and Sort Direction.
Turn on Password Protect This View if the recipient should need a password to open the link.
Turn on Share Link Enabled.
Click Save External View Details.
What the Recipient Sees
The link opens a live, read-only page showing only the fields you chose. The view updates as your data changes, it is not a snapshot. No VipeCloud account, login, or seat is required unless you turned on password protection.
How to Manage an Existing Share Link
You can create multiple links per filter view.
Click the share icon on the contacts table to go to the Manage Filter View Sharing screen where you can locate any existing shared filter views.
To change the link URL, open the share and use Customize next to the Share Link field, or regenerate the link to replace it entirely. Regenerating invalidates the old link.
To pause access without losing the configuration, turn off Share Link Enabled.
To remove the share completely, open Manage Filter View Sharing and click Delete.
Key Notes
This is the same feature for Contacts and for Opportunities and Pipelines. Only the fields and display options differ.
Visits to the link are tracked as a total view count.
Recipients cannot edit, filter, or export data from the shared view. It is read only.
