If you want to move (port) your VipeCloud texting number to another provider, follow the steps below. Porting a number requires coordination between VipeCloud and your new provider to complete the transfer successfully.
Step 1 - Set up service with your new provider
You must first establish service with the provider that will receive your number.
Contact the new provider and request a number port-in
Confirm any fees or requirements on their end
Follow their instructions to begin the port-in process
Step 2 - Request your port-out PIN from VipeCloud
When your new provider requests a port-out PIN, contact VipeCloud and provide:
Written confirmation that you are requesting to port your number out.
Authorization for a $15 port-out fee
You can do this via chat (tell it you'd like to be put through to a representative) or by emailing support@vipecloud.com
Once this is received, VipeCloud will request the PIN from our carrier.
Step 3 - Receive your port-out PIN
After payment is received, VipeCloud will:
Request the port-out PIN from our carrier
Send the PIN and any required account details to you or your designated contact
You can then provide this information to your new provider to complete the port-in.
Step 4 - Keep your account active until the port completes
The VipeCloud account that owns the number must remain active until the port-out is complete.
Numbers are released when user accounts are disabled (unless the account is paused)
Disabling the account too early may delay or prevent the port
Once the port is confirmed as complete, you may deactivate the account at your discretion.
After the port completes
Once the port-out is confirmed, we’ll notify you so you can safely make any account or subscription changes.
