VipeCloud's MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets you connect your VipeCloud account directly to AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, the AI can access VipeCloud data and take actions on your behalf without copying and pasting information between platforms.
This feature requires a Vipe AI subscription
How to Get Your VipeCloud MCP API Key
Before connecting to any AI tool, you need to generate an API key inside VipeCloud.
Click the AI tab in the main navigation.
Under Agents, click MCP Server.
On the MCP Server dashboard, click Create API Key.
Copy the API key and save it somewhere accessible. You will need it in the steps below.
How to Connect VipeCloud to Claude
Plan Requirement
Custom connectors are available on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. Note that on Team and Enterprise plans, only an account Owner can add a custom connector to the organization - individual members connect after the Owner has set it up.
Steps for Pro and Max Plans
Go to Settings, then Connectors.
Scroll to the bottom of the Connectors section and click Add custom connector.
Enter a name for the connector - for example, "VipeCloud."
Paste the following URL into the MCP server URL field:
https://prod-mcp.vipecloud.com/mcpClick Add
On the new page that loads enter your VipeCloud MCP API Key and VipeCloud account email
Click Sign In & Authorize
Enabling VipeCloud in a Conversation
After connecting, use the + button at the lower left of your chat interface, select Connectors, and toggle VipeCloud on for that session.
How to Connect VipeCloud to ChatGPT
Plan Requirement
Connecting custom MCP servers in ChatGPT requires Developer Mode, which is available on Plus, Pro, Team, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans. Free ChatGPT users cannot connect custom MCP servers.
Steps
Log in to your ChatGPT account.
Go to Settings.
Navigate to Apps
Click Advanced settings
Activate Developer Mode
Click Create app at the top of the modal.
Enter a name for the connector - for example, "VipeCloud."
Paste the following URL into the MCP Server URL field:
https://prod-mcp.vipecloud.com/mcpClick the checkbox
Click create
On the new page that loads add your VipeCloud MCP API Key and VipeCloud email used for your account
Click Sign In & Authorize
Open a new chat and select VipeCloud from the tools menu to begin using it.
Key Notes
Developer Mode must be enabled before the Connectors option appears.
On Team and Business plans, only admins or owners can enable Developer Mode and publish connectors for the workspace.
The connector must be enabled at the start of each chat session from the tools menu.
