Coupon codes allow you to offer discounts for products or services sold through sign-up forms that include a paywall. These coupons can be used with forms connected to products that use our PayPal integration.
This article walks through where to create coupon codes, how to configure them, and how they behave when applied to a sign-up form.
Where to Create Coupon Codes
To create or manage coupon codes:
Click CRM in the left sidebar
Open Products
Select Coupons from the dropdown menu
Click the green Add Coupon button in the upper-right corner
Here, you’ll see a list of any existing coupons that have already been created.
Creating a Coupon Code
When adding a new coupon, you’ll configure the following options:
Coupon Code
This is the actual text customers will enter on the sign-up form (for example: WELCOME10).
You can use any combination of letters and numbers that makes sense for your promotion.
Discount Type
Choose how the discount is applied:
Percentage off
Fixed dollar amount off
Apply to Specific Products (Optional)
Toggle this on to limit the coupon to one or more specific products
Leave it off to allow the coupon to apply to all products
Expiration Date (Optional)
Enable this if the coupon should automatically stop working after a specific date.
Maximum Redemptions (Optional)
Set a limit on how many times the coupon can be used before it is disabled.
Once all settings are configured, click Save Coupon.
How Coupons Behave on Sign-Up Forms
Coupons are entered by users at the time they submit the sign-up form. They will see the value of the coupon when it is successfully applied.
Coupons That Reduce the Price to $0
Coupons can reduce a product’s price to zero.
When this happens:
Payment buttons are removed from the form
The form behaves like a standard sign-up form
Users see a regular Submit button instead of a payment step
This makes it possible to offer free access using a coupon while keeping the same form workflow.
Important Limitations to Be Aware Of
A coupon cannot be worth more than the product’s price
Once a coupon reaches its expiration date or maximum redemption limit, it will automatically stop working
