In VipeCloud, templates include email templates, text templates, and series templates. All of these use the same folder and file system, so once you learn how folders work, you’ll be able to organize any type of template the same way.
Using folders can help you to more easily organize and share your Templates.
Understanding Folders
By default, when you create a Template, it will exist in My Templates which is the root folder. You can create Folders to further organize your Templates. This can include Sub-Folders for further organization.
Templates can exist in multiple Folders.
When you click into a Folder, you can see the folder hierarchy in a "breadcrumb" in the upper left. You can return to another folder by clicking on it:
From any Templates table, you can view all of your Folders by clicking on the Folder Hierarchy button to the right of the Create Folder button. This will open a visualization of all of your Folders and you can navigate to any Folder from here:
Create A New Folder
Create a new Folder by clicking Create Folder to the upper right of a Templates table:
Add/Remove Templates From Folders
You can add or remove Templates from Folders from Template tables as well as when editing a Template.
From Templates tables
Click the checkbox to the left of the Template's row. Click the dropdown at the top of the table and select "Add to Folders" or "Remove from Folders". Select the Folders you would like to add or remove the Template from.
By doing this from a Templates table you can change the Folder for multiple Templates.
From HTML Template
Click "Edit Template Details", then click "Edit Folders & Sharing" to open sharing and folder settings.
In the modal that opens, you can add/remove Teams that the Template is shared with. Click "Select Folders" to change the Folders that the Template is in.
From Rich Text Template
Click "Edit Folders & Sharing"
In the modal that opens, you can add/remove Teams that the Template is shared with. Click "Select Folders" to change the Folders that the Template is in.
Sharing Your Folders With Teams
When creating a Folder, you can share it with teams. You can also hover over an existing folder, click the blue button on the right of the row to edit the folder to bring up the same popup, which is how you can remove sharing of that folder with Teams:

When you share a Folder, that sharing will apply to all Sub-Folders. Sub-Folders cannot have different sharing settings than their parent Folder.
